Antalya broke a new record by reaching the best visitor data of all time in tourism in the first 8 months of 2024. The number of tourists coming to Antalya in the January-August period increased by 8.28 percent compared to the same period last year and reached 11 million 731 thousand 937. This figure once again revealed the power and attractiveness of Antalya in tourism.

Countries Sending Most Tourists
In the first 8 months of 2024, the country sending the most tourists to Antalya was again the Russian Federation, as in previous years. While the number of visitors from Russia was recorded as 2 million 641 thousand 849, Germany ranked second with 2 million 235 thousand 311 visitors. England took the third place with 1 million 109 thousand 997 visitors.

Poland, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Romania, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic and Slovakia followed the UK. The number of visitors from these countries also showed a remarkable increase. Compared to the same period of the previous year, the number of tourists from the Russian Federation increased by 11 percent, Germany by 6 percent, England by 20 percent, Poland by 20 percent, Kazakhstan by 17 percent, Romania by 23 percent, Ukraine by 32 percent and Slovakia by 13 percent.

Antalya broke a record in the number of visitors in August. The number of tourists coming to the city in August increased by 2.65 per cent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 2 million 673 thousand 736. Antalya's unique climate, deep blue sea, golden beaches, quality facilities, lush green nature and rich history played a major role in this success.

The Russian Federation was again the country that sent the most tourists to Antalya in August. The number of visitors from Russia was recorded as 601 thousand 533. Germany ranked second with 465 thousand 72 visitors and England ranked third with 235 thousand 641 visitors. Poland, Romania, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Ukraine were among the countries that sent the most tourists to Antalya after the UK.

Increase in the Number of Tourists from Main Market Countries
In August, significant increases were recorded in the number of tourists from the main market countries compared to the same period of the previous year. While the number of visitors from the Russian Federation and the UK increased by 15 percent, Poland increased by 11 percent, Romania by 28 percent, Kazakhstan by 14 percent and Ukraine by 18 percent. These data show that Antalya is constantly growing in the tourism sector and continues to be a centre of attraction for international visitors.

Antalya achieved a great success in tourism in the first 8 months of 2024 and reached a record number of visitors. These records, recorded both in the January-July period and in August, once again proved Antalya's strength in the tourism sector.
