Nevşehir Governor Ali Fidan announced that 1.66 million tourists visited Turkey's prominent tourist destination, Cappadocia, in the first five months of the year. During a traditional Eid al-Adha greeting ceremony at the Nevşehir Governorship, Governor Fidan spoke about measures taken to ensure the safety and comfort of citizens during the holiday.

Significant Increase in Tourist Numbers
Governor Fidan highlighted Cappadocia's continuing status as one of Turkey's key tourism destinations. "In the Cappadocia region, the museums, archaeological sites, and underground cities, which are open to local and foreign tourists by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, were visited by 1.66 million tourists from January to May this year. This represents a 26% increase compared to the same period last year. These figures once again confirm that our region remains one of the most important tourism centers in our country," he said.
