Antalya Airport Exceeds 39 Million Passengers in 2024
Antalya Airport has achieved a historic milestone, surpassing 39 million passengers in 2024, according to data from the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ) under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure.
The airport recorded 234,099 aircraft movements and a total passenger traffic of 39,230,733 throughout the year. This impressive figure exceeds the airport's current capacity of 35 million passengers, setting a new record in its operational history. Antalya Airport, which spans an area of 15 million square meters, continues to play a pivotal role in Turkey’s aviation industry.
To accommodate the growing demand, an expansion project aimed at increasing the airport’s annual passenger capacity to 80 million is currently in progress. The project began after a tender held in December 2022 and the subsequent handover to the winning company on January 5, 2023. Construction activities are ongoing and are expected to transform Antalya Airport into a more robust and modern hub for international travel.
