Antalya, the jewel of the Mediterranean, achieved its highest-ever visitor numbers in 2024, marking a groundbreaking year for the city’s tourism sector.
The number of tourists visiting Antalya in 2024 reached 16,925,349, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the previous year. Adding 352,754 transfer passengers arriving through Antalya Airport, the total number of visitors recorded was 17,278,103.
This milestone cements Antalya’s status as a top tourism destination, breaking all-time records for annual visitor numbers.
During the 12-month period, the leading countries sending tourists to Antalya were:
Russia: 3,909,960 visitors
Germany: 3,517,589 visitors
United Kingdom: 1,574,167 visitors
These were followed by Poland, the Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Romania, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Lithuania.
Antalya also achieved a historic milestone in 2024 for the number of Turkish citizens visiting from abroad. For the first time, this figure surpassed 1 million, with 1,011,099 Turkish citizens visiting the city, marking a significant turning point for Antalya’s tourism sector.
Antalya Airport witnessed a record daily visitor count in 2024. On Saturday, August 3, a total of 102,755 visitors entered the city through the Antalya Airport International Terminal, setting the highest daily visitor record ever.
In December, Antalya welcomed 318,641 tourists. The largest share of visitors came from:
Germany: 81,244 visitors
Russia: 46,793 visitors
United Kingdom: 34,170 visitors
These were followed by visitors from Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Romania, and Belgium.
